At Art Basel 2022 in Miami, I was driven by a gut feeling to connect with Grammy Music Artist Miguel, aiming to pitch our team as the ideal builders for a historical project in the Metaverse. As luck would have it, I crossed paths with a key member of his team, which led to an introduction to a co-founder of the S1C community. This serendipitous connection blossomed, and two months later, we were on a call, kicking off the exciting buildout phase together. This journey emphasized the importance of being open to unexpected encounters and the ripple effect one chance meeting can have in the collaborative world of entrepreneurship.
My aim was simple: create a fashion runway for Miguel to showcase his S1C clothing line in the Metaverse. Working closely with Miguel who is a gifted artist, my team designed a beautiful runway according to Miguel’s vision. Regular meetings helped keep everyone on the same page, ensuring we were ready by Metaverse Fashion Week 2023. The highlight was not only a successful launch but also getting Sony Records' nod to debut a snippet of Miguel's new hit, "Give it to Me", which is the first and only virtual world in the Metaverse with Sony Records approval. This project showed how clear communication and teamwork can turn a shared vision into a memorable reality.
